Has anyone ever invented a better way of taking out an enemy pilot than jumping on their plane and ripping their canopy off -- in mid-flight?
I don't think so.
This comes from the awesome All-Star Squadron #8, featuring the first half of what was supposed to be Steel, The Indestructible Man #6. Consider this a preview, maybe?

My LCS had a sale between Christmas and New Years, and I got the entire run (all 5 issues) of Steel for $5.50. Four of the issues are darn near Mint to boot!
Haven't read them yet, but soon.
As for ripping off a cockpit, that seems pretty fricking effective to me.
I similarly got the entire series for a few bucks, plus the two issues of All-Star. Personally, I thought they were excellent, but that's me!
