What Looks Good?
As summer gets hotter, now is the perfect time to find something cool to read and beat the heat inside, as the Good Lord intended. Or something.
Freddy vs Jason vs Ash: Nightmare Warriors #1 -- The original series as a hoot, but I think I am going to pass on this one in singles and just get the collection. Hopefully Jason Craig is fully healed up from his hand injury and will be able to handle all the art chores this time out, as his pencils were outstanding in the last series.
Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion #6 -- The conclusion of what has been a very strong War series. I wouldn't mind seeing more such projects from DC in the future but only with the right creators involved.
Essential Doctor Strange v.4 -- Maybe Adama can explain to me why Doctor Strange has four Essential volumes and Iron Man only has three?! What the heck?!
Guardians of the Galaxy #15 -- War of Kings tie-in! Woo!
Nova #26 -- Ditto!
So, what looks good to YOU?

Last Days of Animal Man is the top of my list.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a must read, as always.
Detective, however, is my pick of the week in advance. I cannot wait to see the visual spectacle of JHWIII's art.
I flipped through Tec at the shop today, and it looked quite nice. Last time I saw a comic look that good it was Hickman's work on the Legion of Monsters: Satana one-shot (The Living Mummy feature) -- and no I am not making that up.
Because it's safe to reprint Dr. Strange right through the '90s without fear that at some point the Essentials will diminish color trade paperback sales. There will be no color trades, because I'm one of the 2,375 people on the planet Earth that likes Dr. Strange. The rest are just Marvel completists and occasional visitors. Iron Man actually had hundreds of thousands of fans before the movie, and millions after. Therefore, look out for volume one of Iron Man Visionaries: Len Kaminski, coming soon!
Star Wars Legacy, Last Days of Animal Man, Teen Titans, Dark Avengers, New Avengers, and Ms Marvel for me!
So I gotta ask, am I the only guy not reading the Marvel cosmic books (Nova, Guardians of the Galaxy, War of Kings, etc)?
Are they really as good as everyone says?
Just wondering.

Frank -- I'd agree with you except that the era they are up to in collecting Shellhead in the Showcases is (mid-30s) is not exactly a period which anyone save me is clamoring to have collected. The first volume of Essential Iron Man was entirely Tales of Suspense issues after all.
Shag -- Yes. Yes they are. Since Annihilation, they have all been awesome.
