Both Joker and Two-Face were given depth and a great backstory. Joker was seriously crazy, while Two-Face had this simmering anger rather than the "Jim Carrey Wannabe" attitude Tommy Lee Jones gave him. All in all, I thought it was the best so far of all the Batman films.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3741435186739357719.post-56047840095355192032008-07-31T20:34:00.000-04:002008-07-31T20:34:00.000-04:00"Iron Man" was a swell summer popcorn super-hero m..."Iron Man" was a swell summer popcorn super-hero movie with an outstanding cast. "The Dark Knight" is an impressive film. Part of what made them earn their money was how dissimilar they are. That's like comparing "Die Hard" to "Goodfellas."

On the other hand, "Batman Begins" was close enough to "Iron Man" that I'm willing to give Tony Stark the nod. Let's hope "Iron Man 2" makes the same leap as "Dark Knight" in quality.Diabolu Frankhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04685199809207954223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3741435186739357719.post-31053714216256279042008-07-31T18:48:00.000-04:002008-07-31T18:48:00.000-04:00Now, the inevitable part of this post: was it bett...Now, the inevitable part of this post: was it better than Iron Man? I don't think so. But, as I am more than willing to admit, I'm biased. I don't like Batman nearly as much as I do Iron Man, but even when taking that into consideration, as a film I liked Iron Man better. It was more cohesive overall and more focused.

I have to agree with you. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed THE DARK KNIGHT. But I believe that its flaws - namely the screenplay - prevented it from being a truly coheisive and tight story. In that regard, IRON MAN wins hands down.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3741435186739357719.post-63776258350900298252008-07-31T16:57:00.000-04:002008-07-31T16:57:00.000-04:00Excellent review.
